It would look absolutely fantastic on a red dachshund, chocolate brown doxie, or black dachshund, as well! The sable color in it also looks smashing on a cream dachshund like Noodle! The fabric is a very thick (780 grams per square meter) 50% wool / 50% polyester blend with a soft-as-silk cashmere finish. This is our very thickest wool yet! The Donegal is lined with a matching olive green fleece for extra coziness. Chocolate brown trim accents the edges of the coat, and coordinates well with its brown buttons. Unlike regular dog coats, the Donegal Plaid Dachshund Coat was designed for dachshunds, providing the perfect length to cover their adorable long bodies while protecting their broad chests and delightfully low-to-the-ground tummies. The quick and easily adjustable neck tab and side wings ensure a perfect fit.
The Donegal Plaid Dachshund Coat has a really useful feature: a D-ring on the back of the coat to allow for a simple and quick clip of the leash to let you get dressed and out the door quickly! Triple stitched, substantial nylon strapping holds the D-ring in place. For those dachshunds who prefer to wear a harness under the coat, there is a reinforced harness hole on the back of the coat to allow for the leash to clip to the harness D-ring. If you wish, you can also attach a matching ID tag to the D-ring.
Plus it is reversible, too! Reverse the coat to wear it with its olive green microfleece side out. Its brown trim and plaid faux waist belt complete the finished look!
